Biography

EXPERIENCE MATTERS

With over 35 years of experience, Bob has helped clients of all sizes leverage their intellectual assets through strategic patent portfolio development and management. He prosecutes patent applications domestically and manages foreign prosecution in a wide range of technologies.  From the outset of his career, his practice has involved patent prosecution, patent infringement and validity studies, European oppositions, and IP licensing throughout the world.

NOT JUST MEDICAL DEVICES

Throughout his career, Bob has supported major corporations in the medical device, food, and packaging industries, as well as small to moderate size clients in a broad range of commercial endeavors, including commercial theft deterrence systems, cosmetic packaging, and processing equipment. He has also been involved in conducting due diligence with respect to acquisitions involving significant patent portfolios. His involvement has included evaluating the strength of the portfolio, negotiating intellectual property aspects of the acquisition, and negotiating and drafting ongoing license agreements related to the acquisitions. Following the acquisitions, he has often assumed complete responsibility for the acquired portfolio of properties.
